We’re aiming for a sophisticated, upscale atmosphere that will be totally unique for Ascension Parish and be a lure for folks outside of Gonzales.
Library Wine & Provisions is the new wine-centric restaurant boasting a fresh and unique menu in a comfortable, sophisticated atmosphere. We’re located in Ascension Parish in front of the Conway Development in Gonzales, Louisiana at 7530 Hwy 44, Suite 103. It’s worth the drive!
We have one of the best and largest wine lists in the Ascension Parish area, and we’re the perfect place for a dressed up date night or to just unwind with friends. If you're an adventurous wine drinker, you'll enjoy trying new grapes from our epic library of wines. And if cocktails and mixed drinks are your thing, we have you covered with several custom cocktails and all the liquor brands you know and love.

Hi, I’m Bart Waguespack, one of the owners of Library Wine & Provisions. I grew up in Ascension Parish and have been a local builder and developer the past 25 years with Waguespack Homes. While I enjoy real estate, I was ready for something new and creative to sink my teeth into. I found myself driving to Baton Rouge to go eat out with friends all the time and wished there was something closer to home to enjoy and experience good food and great wine.
Around this time, I was putting together a commercial project in front of the Conway subdivision and a light bulb went off. Great location and several subdivisions filled with people who hopefully will appreciate a new fine dining restaurant without the drive to Baton Rouge.
Right then, that began the journey of what grew into the Library Wine & Provisions. With the help of a chef consultant, branding company, interior designer and many more, we’ve created a unique place that I'm very proud to share with our local communities. This project has been the proudest of my career so far, and I can’t wait to welcome you to the Library.

I was a Central, Louisiana resident and business owner of Central Heating and Air LLC for 25 years. For those 25 years we did a tremendous amount of work in Ascension Parish. Upon the sale of our business in 2022 I started looking for new business opportunities to be a part of.
When Bart came to me with the plans of opening the Library Wine and Provisions I knew this would be a great investment opportunity for me as Bart and I had worked together for years in new construction and I knew he was the kind of business partner I would enjoy doing a project like this with. I was excited to see it all come together and am even more excited to see it grow with the community.
My wife and I plan to make it one of our regular places to dine and celebrate even with the over an hour drive from our new home. It has a beautiful, elegant moody atmosphere, amazing food, wine, and amazing people that make it a place you will want to return to time after time. We look forward to celebrating and getting to know all our wine lovers as well as those who love amazing food.
